The Chinese food is pretty typical American Chinese food. I've ordered delivery from here several times and my food has always been correct and delivered in a timely manner. But the SMOOTHIES holy goodness the SMOOTHIES! I get several every time and just stick them in the fridge they are so fresh and delightful. I especially love the Kiwi and the Watermelon. Yum!

I had to update my review because the assistant manager Paul reached out to me after viewing my previous Yelp on my bad experience. Paul apologized for my bad experience and offered to refund my entire meal. This act alone made me come on and leave and update. Stand up establishment, and maybe I caught them on a bad night. Who knows but either way, customer service here should be the standard everywhere.

I ordered chicken w/vegetables online on the website. I received a conformation e-mail that I requested my order successfully and I want it delivered at 3:15. It was 2 o clock. I didnt choose or write that I want it next hour. I wanted it as soon as possible. They deliver it in 15minutes, its very close from the place where I was. Called them, a lady picked up the phone and completely could not understand me when I was trying to explain. She asked what is my problem, i gave her a conformation number I received, phone number and address was repeated 3 times to her. They took money from my account but she said they DONT HAVE an order from me. I said if you cant find it then thank you very much and hanged up. In 40minutes older chinese guy came with an order. I received only vegetables, no chicken. Ridiciolous. It was my first and last time experience with them.

Took freaking two hours for delivery. Called twice to ask where it was and the driver was "on the way" both times. Absolutely awful. The food was cold when we got it, the wonton soup and egg rolls were disgusting but its probably because they were cold. But, the restaurant took ten dollars off my order and gave me free crab rangoons (even though i dont like them), but the gesture was nice.

Iunno. Good egg rolls, bottom line. Second visit. I tried: * Cashew chicken: gristly * Kung pao chicken: gristly * Orange chicken: unpleasant * Shrimp lo mein: decent * Egg rolls: good! Won't be back.

I like this restaurant. The food is good, fresh, plentiful and reasonably priced. If someone were to ask me for a local place to grab some Chinese food, I wouldn't hesitate to suggest China King.

This is the 3rd Chinese delivery place I have ordered from in my neighborhood!!! This place is by far the best out of all of them. The crab Rangoon is yummy, it's not the sweet kind, you can taste the onion and garlic. Don't order the fried crab sticks it is not crab it's white fish. Every thing else had great flavor . There chicken, pork, beef, and shrimp were just that I knew what I was eating. You know at some of those Chinese restaurants its a mystery as to what kind of meat it is.

I love this place. Whenever I come over to my dads house I make it a point to order China King. They always come fast and the food is great quality. I've ordered everything but my favorite is the spicy beef egg foo young. So delicious and great!!

I am a fan of the takeout. Best deal around for less than seven bucks you can get orange chicken, chicken fried rice, an eggroll, and a can of pop. Delivered! And the portions are enough for two lunches! If your office goes in together, they throw in a crab rangoon for each order. As far as flavor goes, they rate high on a fast food scale. I can do China King about every other week. Give it a try!

We've lived in the are for 9 years and order exclusively from China King. They're the only Chinese restaurant in the area that doesn't use MSG, so right off the bat, that gets our vote! (Seriously, do a little research on MSG - that stuff is HORRIBLE!!!) We've never had a bad dish from here. Not once. The only complaint I've ever heard is from my fiance' who says that the spicy dishes aren't spicy enough. Then again, he can eat a habanero pepper without flinching so maybe he's just some freak of nature. For those complaining about soggy eggrolls/rangoon...... when you put a crispy hot item in a bag (ie for delivery) it will build up steam and turn ANY crispy food into mush. It's basic first grade science - hot food creates steam. Steam increases the humidity in an enclosed area (ie your bag or takeout container.) Humidity causes things to wilt. No matter WHERE you order from, if you have your food delivered and it's in an enclosed container, the steam will make it wilt. There are 2 options - either pick it up and eat it there, or ask them not to seal your bag.... in which case your egg roll will be crispy, but your food will be cold. Great food, amazing prices, overly-generous portions, awesome selection, and lightning quick delivery. Highly recommended!

What a great little take out place. So far the best in the area. The vegetable egg foo young is very flavorful with a dark but tasty sauce. The chicken fried rice is also one of the best around, packed full of nice pieces of chicken. Also I ordered the mongolian beef which was good but not great. This place is worth a repeat and I will be sampling other different items on the very expansive menu. I also thought that the prices were very reasonable with nice portions, especially if you compare them to what you get at all the other Chinese joints in the area. This place has a few items that you dont see on many menus around here, roasted duck, ribs in a garlic sauce, and singapore noodles which i am very eager to try. I hope they dont disappoint me.

Ordered delivery and an hour later the driver said he was in our driveway when he wasn't. Two hours and multiple phone calls later he was still saying he was at our house when he definitely was not. We never got our food.

I used yelp reviewers to order delivery from this place--- and apparently, I didn't get what they were having. I chose by fellow yelper recommendations. This is what I got. Crab rangoon: Not golden, but paper bag brown. 90% empty. 8% wonton- super fried but super chewy?!?! I didn't know that could exist. Oh yeah. And a 2% smear that wanted to be the creamy filling. On the first one, i figured- oh hey. Maybe they ran out of the mixture. But then I opened a 2nd. 3rd. 4th. All near empty with a smear of cream cheese, some green herbs. Was there crab? I dont know. Egg roll: one end of my egg roll was black. Enough said. Shrimp fried rice. Good amount of shrimp in it. Except the shrimp was undercooked and tasted like paste or mush. uhh..... kinda inedible. I didn't think fried rice was hard to make.... *hint* judge a chinese food joint by their ability to make fried rice. Shrimp egg foo young. The one saving grace. Didn't taste great, but... it didn't taste bad either. Sauce? super brown, thick, coagulated... kinda fecal-looking.... The outside was charred black and crispy though. The inside? Similar.. I have no clue if the shrimp were cooked well either. But... at least I didn't have the mash potato texture from em. Oh. I guess if you wanted to count it, maybe the white rice was the star. But I'm filipino. So... white rice doesn't exactly impress me. Again I had it delivered. They said 40 minutes. They took an hour. After I attempted, I cooked up a TV dinner. These guys made TV dinners taste great. Never again. Never. Again.

Best Chinese by far I have yet found in the area. I had the Orange Chicken and I normally leave the airport/food court version but this was an order of magnitude better. Huge portion but the chicken wasn't the mostly breading deep fried type. Very light breading, if any, but incredibly tasty and the sauce more complex than typical. I had also ordered spare ribs but too full to eat, though they look great. Service is also very friendly, always a plus.

Great place! I have been ordering from here for last couple of months. Very tasty fast bite to eat! Orange chicken is really good. My goto place for chinese.

Some of the best Chinese food in the area I think. Me and my buddy found this place on yelp. We just wanted to feast and got 50 dollars worth of Chinese food. I loved every item we got. I thought the shrimp fried rice was amazing too. From now on I will always be ordering my Chinese food from here.

Great rost duck dish and they give generous portions of beef in their orange beef and chicken selections. The oly thing I wish they could of put more broccoli with this dish. A wide variety of Chinese dishes and they are fast for take to

I have ordered from here a few times. They are always friendly on the phone & the order has always been on time. The food is great. Good size portions. I have no complaints. Nice to have this place close in the neighborhood.

I was rather disappointed with my lunch given the reviews. I had the chicken kung poa. It really left much to be desired, it kind of reminded me of cafeteria Chinese food, and it had WAY too much sauce and salt. My coworker got the orange chicken and said that it was OK, not the best he's had, but good. I will say, we got a LOT of food for pretty cheap, so that's a plus.

Good food but is it worth the price? Six dollars for beef fried rice? It's the best place I know in the neighborhood. Preparation of food and delivery is fast and the delivery guys always pleasant. I say this because I know people who are very tight for tips. It's small and has a couple of chairs but it is by no means a restaurant to sit down and enjoy a good meal. When you're there, stop next-door and check out the Italian bakery/delicatessen. This place is what it is. It is worth a stop but certainly not a destination restaurant.

Sad to say that it seems to have really gone down hill. I just ordered today and the food was below average. My appetizer combination was shoved in a plastic bag. No box, no container, just greasy chicken wings, egg roles, etc. all rolled together in a plastic bag. Then, the rice noodle dish I had was so saturated in soy sauce that it drowned out the flavor. My girlfriend did not like the fried rice she ordered. I was very hungry and now My stomach is rumbling in an uncomfortable way as I sit and write this. I will not be ordering from this place again.

Trying to find really good Chinese in our new neighborhood, and china kitchen is just not it. The food here is okay, but not great. We got the sesame chicken and beef chop suey, both were unimpressive and the beef was plain and under seasoned. The crab Rangoon was basically cream cheese in wonton, no other flavors were noticeable, especially not crab. The portions were big and the prices were reasonable, but the food just didn't wow. Nothing was bad, but nothing was memorable either. So I'm still looking for my new favorite Chinese spot.

Love this place. Clean, friendly, great value and most importantly, super tasty food. Everything has good wok flavor but is never greasy or "off" tasting. My wife and ai love the dinner for two special.

My favorite is their lunch menu. Hugh portions and affordable prices. Best Chinese food around.

China King is AWESOME! They have a bot of everything on the menu and that will serve the broad appetite well. I am a basic Chinese food kind of guy. My favorite is the General Tso Chicken. Every Chinese restaurant features a dish like this but they have the best one! IT is flavorful, has great texture, and packs the right amount of heat. The crab rangoon is also very good. I am hesitant to say a pre-made, fried food can be the best but they have a great one. Call them up and enjoy some food today.

Very good reasonably prices Chinese food. Had the Szechuan chicken, General Tso's, Chicken Lo-Mein, and Chicken Fried Rice. We got the small portions which weren't really all that small at all. The Chicken was flavorful and I was satisifed, the whole order was ~$20 which is a reasonable price. Very good takeout in the neighborhood, had much worst for a higher price.

  • Scott K.

Best Chinese food in the area, and one of the best I've had period. That says a lot considering some of the sit down places can be a bit pricey. You can't beat the dinner combos for $6.50 which include chicken fried rice and an egg roll.

  • Courtney Z.

My fiance and i ordered dinner last night after just moving to the neighborhood and let me tell you it was amazing one of the best Chinese places Ive had food from. Their Mongolian beef and general Tso chicken were perfect. and the egg-rolls we crispy yet soft in just the right way. We had enough for left overs which is always good when you find just the right place. we will definitely be making china king our main Chinese restaurant.

Nice little Chinese dive. Had the spicy sesame chicken, very good and tasty. The egg rolls and crab rangoon are the real deal as well. Good fried rice with the right amount of soy and not too greasy. Not fancy, just a little take out joint. The lunch specials are cheap and they have to staple the container shut to hold all of the MSG Chinese goodness inside the Styrofoam container. Just a good place to go when you want some good and fast Chinese fare.

It's not the best Chinese food, but it's damn good for delivery! Since I moved into the area, I've ordered from them 3 times. Delivery has been quick and the food was hot. The egg rolls aren't as crispy as I like them, but they were decent. I really disliked the vegetable fried rice, but love their chicken fried rice. The Empress Chicken could be spicier and crispier but it was still tasty. The Pork Lo-Mein was a decent dish. By far, the best dish I've had so far was their General Tso chicken.

Ever since Lin's Garden at Milwaukee and Devon closed down, I have been without a decent Chinese place. Finally, my luck has changed and I have found a place to fill my Chinese food void. China King is fast, tasty, and inexpensive. What more can you ask for? The smoothies are excellent too. I would keep going back just for those alone.

Excellent crab rangoon and really tasty orange chicken - with a peppery kick. The fruit smoothies are very good. The orders are huge. Not for eating in - definitely delivery or carry out.

Good food BUT, delivery is awful. An hour and forty five min wait. Would have rated higher but I literally could have walked there and back faster. A simple heads up on the delay would have made my first time trying this place and my review much better.

I had lunch here today, after reading the other reviews i decided to try it. I agree with what others have yelped, the lunch specials are great! I had the mongolian beef, in the menu it is shown as a spicy item but i asked if they could make it non spicy and they agreed. It was excellent, a great dish! i can't wait to have it again. For $3.50 you can get a large portion plus steamed white rice, a fortune cookie and a can of pop. Add a dollar and you get fried rice, and an egg roll as well. I have a pretty healthy appetite and i couldn't finish the whole thing. I ordered a strawberry smoothie with tapioca as well, i wasnt impressed--China town smoothies are better. while i've only had one dish from here, i can say that that one dish was delicious and i cant wait to try the rest of the menu. This is not an eat-in place--unless you want to fight for the one small table by the door. Go here for lunch! ^_~

Ok, after reading the reviews here, I decided to stop by and pick up some lunch today. Wow. What a deal I got. Orange chicken, chicken fried rice, egg roll, fortune cookie and a can of coke all for $4.90 including tax. I couldn't even finish half off the chicken and rice so now I have leftovers for tomorrow. Granted, I work 7 minutes away from here, but when I got to the office, the food was still screaming hot i had to wait a few minutes. Everything was so fresh. And an added bonus, they do not use MSG (which I am allergic to). I will definitely be back to try some of the other lunch specials and maybe next time I'll make room for one of their fruit smoothies.

Best chinese food in the area. Mango tapioca is delich! And I have to agree that the delivery driver is super nice. They hook it up for the price. Can never finish a dinner and is under $20 delivered for 2.

  • Don S.

This place is great! I always get my take out from China King. The portions are large and the price is right. The other day I ordered a couple of egg rolls and some won ton soup. The container of soup was enough for two people. Also, the restaurant is very clean. I recommend it highly.

  • Urszula H.

Mmmmmmmmmm.....mouthwateringly good fresh Chinese food. My favorite is the Szechwan Shrimp, with the right combination of vegetables, shrimp, and spiciness. They also have tapioca smoothies (avocado, mango, papaya, watermelon, kiwi, strawberry, honey dew, cantalope, and banana...hungry yet?), which is the reason I ever ordered from them in the first place. (OOOOOOOhhhhh, so good!!!) The delivery driver is super nice, which makes them even better.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
